Research Profile
I am a philosopher and historian of economics broadly interested in different ways in which economists produce knowledge and how this affects how economics as a profession is organized, also in relation to other fields. To do so, I combine tools from history, philosophy, and the social sciences and thereby aim at making contributions to empirical philosophy of science, Integrated History and Philosophy of Science, and the history and philosophy of economics. As I draw heavily on case studies, my approach in philosophy is practice-orientated.
Contribution to Model Transfer
I am currently studying the ways in which economists have transferred models into their field and also applied them beyond the traditional disciplinary border of economics to better understand how such model transfers can - empirically and conceptually - be understood and in which way they contribute to scientific progress.
